CASE STUDIES

Annual Staff Summer Conference, Vienna

The Brief

CCIS The Conference Company were given the task to create and manage our client’s Annual Staff Summer Conference. Our highly skilled team of event professionals worked closely with the client, the venue and various third-party suppliers to deliver the conference objectives seamlessly.

The Delivery

The Annual Staff Conference took place in the Imperial Riding School Renaissance Hotel Vienna, Austria. The theme of the event was “Achieving Extraordinary Outcomes” which included brand breakout sessions, plenary sessions, team building, a garden BBQ and a gala dinner. Our team developed and implemented themes for all events including a full schedule of entertainment. We encountered an issue before the group travelled to Austria from both the UK & Ireland when the hotel had a roof leak on the floor that contained all the meeting rooms. CCIS Staff travelled out ahead of the event and worked with the hotel to make the necessary changes to ensure the event ran smoothly without disruption from the issues within the hotel.

The team building for this event was particularly special as the entire team was split into groups and taught in the space of 1.5 hours how to play either a violin, viola or cello and then the group were transported with their instruments to the Spanish Riding School where they performed Pachelbel Canon in d major having never held their instrument prior to that morning.

This event was received incredibly well by those in attendance and by our client. They still talk about the team building event many years later as one of the most incredible achievements they have ever been part of. The team spirit and sense of common achievement was unbelievable. The gala dinner event was also a memorable evening. We utilised every space and created a dance floor with a “chill out” area using unique and funky styled furniture.

Its still seen as one of the best staff conferences many of the staff have ever experienced.
